The Name
Some of you have asked if I am going to reveal the new baby’s name. I don’t object to you knowing, but I don’t want the name to be easily google-able. Just in case my blog becomes fodder for teasing in her future.
I gave a few clues, but here are some more definitive ones: quite unwittingly, we have given our girl names in a British detective theme. Her first and middle name are the first names of the famous sleuths who are the heroines of these two novels:

Leann
Oooh, I love it!
Alison

Kate @ Small Scribbles
Reading this blog is an exercise. I guess that’s why I like it so much. You always have me dashing off in search of knowledge…
I’m back. She has a beautiful name.
Your birth story for number four is mine for number three right down to the wheel chair ride from hell. Just substitute a nursing strike for construction and replace breech with making a mad dash into a near hospital on the way to the far hospital. On the plus side, you have a story you will tell for years to come.
Congratulations!
Kate
Coralie
I love it!!!!!!! She has the same middle name as my sister.
Tonggu Momma
We know someone with your little one’s first name!!! It’s a favorite. I love old-fashioned names.
Katrina (Callapidder Days)
Love it!
Lady S

Nice names, and off the beaten track!
Rachel
Oh my gosh LOVE THAT NAME. I could swear I saw an Anne reference in a recent post — is the first name an homage to Anne in any way? Either way, it’s a beautiful name. Very similar to my daughter’s middle name (also my mother’s name), which is ALSO the name of a character in the Anne series.
Sue
Anne Shirley would be so proud :>
PJ
I just had to take up the challenge and go figure it out for myself. Beautiful!!
LeeAnn (AKA Frazzmom)
Your blog has sent me off googling more times than I would care to admit, but I always come away with something new…
Lovely name for a lovely, albeit dramatic, baby. Hopefully the drama was just reserved for her birth and doesn’t become a theme
Beck
SO PRETTY!
Expat Mom
That`s a very beautiful old fashioned name . . . particularly the first.
Congrats on your new little lady.
Sherri E.
Excellent, excellent name.
I have already informed my hubs that should we ever get a girl, her middle name will be yours’ first, and her first name will be Anne. And since our last name begins with “e,” it will only make sense to call her Ace, which pretty much guarantees she’ll kick butt wherever she goes.
edj
Lovely! I’m so happy for you.
kelli
What a beautiful name! congratulations.
Melanie @ Beanpaste
What an impeccable, elegant name!
And huge, huge congratulations to you all, plus a hearty ‘well done’ to Mom.
Cheers!
canadacole
I had to Google but I LOVE it. Very sweet and not something you hear that often any more. Congratulations.
Alpha DogMa
First off, I’m so glad that I wasn’t the only one who had to go a googling!
Second, fantastic name! Good job. This is how it is done. Hear, that Gwen Stefani? THIS is a how you name a baby!
Congrats all around!
Shalee
Love, love, love the name! I agree. Anne would be quite proud (and then she would bring you a dress with puffed sleeves for your little one.)
Rachel
What a beautiful, romantic name! Such a clever way to share it!! Congratulations.
