My daughter now invents rejection for me

And she has small confidence in my coping skills.

JellyBean, today, while playing: “No one can come to Mommy’s party. That is so sad for you. You will be lying in bed all night.”

    heheeh.
My son was playing with a Playmobil version of us today, and life was hard for Playmobil daughter - she had to sleep outside and not get a new bike. Apparently, he has some “issues.”

my daughter, when I say “I love you” will often respond “I don’t love you” and sometimes follow it up with “I only love Daddy, and the girls (our neighbor-friends)” I try to use these times as opportunities to teach her of my unconditional love, and not opportunities to pout and whine. So we can be mommy rejects together.

LOL. Sorry. But that is so funny. All through college I babysat an elementary age girl. When I first started, she would play horrific imaginary games in which she would scream and punish her doll, her “daughter” terribly. The mother was horrified, and not slightly concerned that I’d think she treated her daughter like that. I never did. I think it’s just a thing they go through.

Oh girl, can I just say I can’t stop laughing at your comment on Boo Mamas site. Sheesh, that’s the funniest thing I’ve read in a while….or maybe it’s my mood, but dang that was funny.

‘Go play with some matches in the yard’….lol!
