Meme

Several weeks ago, Michelle at Life With Three tagged me for a meme. It’s a long one, and I am a rebellious little snot when it comes to memes, so I will selfishly cull only those questions I feel like answering, and leave the rest.

That’s right. That’s what passes for rebellion in my conventional little life.

Quirks about you?

I have written about this before, but the list of my quirks is darn near endless, so:

  • When I need to touch things used by large numbers of the public, I use my elbows or knuckles. Watching me open a public bathroom door after I’ve washed my hands is quite entertaining.
  • I use brown sugar in my hair to get rid of build-up.
  • I think snakes are cool. I might shriek when I first see one, but then I get close and watch it.

How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less?

Az the Husband says, “The reverse curve that is the essence of beauty.”

Somebody’s sucking up.

Especially given the state of my curves in the sixth month of pregnancy.

Favorite Charity/ Cause?

I have great respect for Habitat for Humanity and Heifer International. Also, my parents met while they were both working for the Salvation Army, so you could say that I owe that organization my existence.

Favorite thing about your house?

Like Michelle, I love the natural light in my house. Which Az the Vampire tries to block out at every opportunity. I expect to wake up one day to find he has imitated the Taliban and painted my windows black.

Least favorite thing about your house?

My bathroom closet. It is tiny, tiny, tiny. Any time I reach into it, I knock something over. If you were in my house, you would know that I had reached into my bathroom closet by the inchoate howls of frustration coming from that room. And the clatter. And possibly the sound of things being thrown.

One thing you are bad at?

Lately? Cheerfulness. Maybe you could tell.

One thing you’re good at?

I make great soup.

So that’s it for now. Tagging someone? I’ll tag my last three commenters who have blogs: MinnesotaMom, Sherri E. and  Becky Y.  You can do my pared down version, or Michelle’s original full-length version.

I’m lazy lately, so don’t feel badly if I don’t get around to this meme. Also, tell me about this brown sugar phenomenon. I have never heard of putting it in your hair.

I use brown sugar as a major ingredient in my spaghetti sauce. Never heard of it for hair… interesting!

    1. You have trouble being cheerful.

    2. You make great soup.

    3. You won’t do the whole meme.

Yep. You’re the soup nazi. “No full meme for you!”

This morning I was drying my hair and I thought, “Gosh. Veronica hasn’t posted in a really long time. I wonder if everything is okay?”

And so I checked your blog and realized that I never updated my Bloglines after you moved. And so now I have a big stockpile of your posts to read.

    IT’S LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Your next post WILL BE about brown sugar in the hair.

    Your readers have spoken.

Brown sugar? In hair. SO. CURIOUS. I use vinegar on mine. Perhaps we could mix them together for a tasty hair dressing.

I think in addition to soup, to which I cannot personally attest, you are a great writer, to which I CAN personally attest. I was just telling this to someone on Saturday when the subject of blogging came up. Not the soup part though.

Thanks so much for playing along! It was fun to learn a little more about you. And, I’ve got to agree with everyone else, I want to know exactly how you use the brown sugar to reduce hair build-up a) because it’s interesting and b) because I was just going to buy a “special shampoo” to do just that!
