It is a beautiful post- and I also lost a child, and then a husband (through divorce- not death), and then life as I knew it- and I learned to hang right there on Jesus's pocket. It's a bittersweet lesson.

Amen, Amen, Amen!

Sometimes God quiets the storms, sometimes He lets the storm rage and quiets His child.

So very well put!

3 1/2 years later and I am daily bowled over with where I was to where I am today. Oh how I miss my sweet girl of 24 years, not a day passes that my heart does not a stir in thinking on her. I draw so much comfort realizing my Father knows my hurt, my pain and loss, His Word says He weeps for our suffering and pain. I am so deeply humbled, knocked down in awe knowing He cares this much for me.

Only a God like ours can bring joy out of such pain and beauty from ashes, I love Him so!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas that you have provided. Thank you. Especially to your father. I did love this post. I finished reading it and went straight to Isaiah and spent some time reading more of his words.

I like to think that the Lord is gently leading me, with my young. Which is a comfort, because I am wholly inadequate as a mother most days. I hope that through my human weakness the Lord will be able to make something strong. And my weakness does lead me to Him, which I guess is the point.

{And now at least there is one comment here!

Wonderful post, although the tennis club story made me quite upset - the snobs. I can certainly see where you got your writing talent from.
I'm boggling a bit at the idea of MY mother guest posting, which is actually an incredibly fun idea, but WHAT would my mom write? Oh, I do not know.
