I've also read his Mars books and enjoyed those as well. Many books out there have something offensive about them (at least offensive in current North American culture), but I think it is important to be able to enjoy the stories as just that ... stories. As you may have guessed, I'm not easily offended. I might add that it is also easier to bypass offensive themes when you know it was written in "another time and place." I too liked Tarzan by Burroughs. I’ve also read his Mars books and enjoyed those as well.
